Moving out to the seaside for a summer season has proven to be one of the best choices for us and Buddy! Not only we get to enjoy the beach, lengthy walks in the nature, many dog-friendly cafes and restaurants, but also watching movies in the open air annual film festival in Protaras. What could be better?

We honestly could not believe when we found out that there is a two week long open air film festival in Protaras, which not only shows the most recent and most popular movies (at a really good quality) for free, but also allows dogs. To be honest, we did not ask if the dogs are allowed – we just assumed so since it is open air and anyone is welcome. There was no security or check at the entrance and we were not given any comments for bringing Buddy with us – everyone was actually really friendly and welcoming.

Being considerate to others, we sat a bit on the corner so as to not disturb anyone, but no one seemed to mind our beast enjoying a nap while we were watching a movie. We would however recommend to come a bit earlier to find the seat as at some nights it was fully crowded and all chairs were occupied.

When it comes to water (for your dog) as well as other drinks and treats for yourself (like popcorn, nachos etc.) – you could buy that all at the kiosk near the entrance. You could actually ordered narghile too!

The chairs were plastic and Buddy had to lay on the concrete floor, but can you really complain?

It will not come as a surprise that we were more than ecstatic and can’t wait for the 3rd Protaras summer film festival next year!
