Previously named as Corner Pin - now The Grand Slam Inn - is a family-run pub situated at the bottom end of Kapparis Avenue which has become like a second home for local Britons as well as tourists from UK. Their menu offers various meals that are most favourite among the British as well as beer and cocktails – all at very affordable prices.
As you probably know, we too are big fans of English breakfast, so it was just a matter of time when we are going to visit this place. Buddy might have not appreciated us dragging him out on a very hot summer day, but these are just small sacrifices he does to promote "social dogs".
As expected, staff had no problem with us coming to eat with our dog, even more than that - there was already another poodle lounging in their terrace. Since other tables in the terrace were either too close to the doggie or exposed to the sun, we chose to sit inside and the staff was fine with that too.
By the way, not only they accept dogs – they also host charity events to support volunteers of the local Paralimni pound.
The ambience is very informal and simple, but we have to admit – the food was good. And apart from that, the pub provides a variety of entertainment for you to enjoy your time while there or choose it as a place to spend your afternoons at – they have two pool tables, dart board, books (?!), it also hosts various events – karaoke, live entertainment, quiz and Bingo nights as well as show main sport events. So you and your doggie for sure will not be bored.
